You can attach files to underlay pages. Those files are written into the underlay directory.

The underlay system should not allow this because underlay has copy-on-write for any other operation.

Attaching should copy the page to data dir automatically, just like an edit.

The attachments will be lost when you upgrade your wiki, since you assume that underlay is read only and does not contain any of your changes, you just delete it and install new copy.

You also don't backup underlay from the same reason.
