'''If a title search doesn't produce an exact match, provide a link to create the page exactly as typed in.''' Using the method of changeing the url to create a new page by the "not existing page" dialog is not easy to do if you do use a browser in fullscreen mode. I do think we should extend the result of title search with a link to create a non existing page additional to the current hints about performing better results. That link should only be visible if the user has the write right. I agree. New page creation can be rather inconvenient. I have really liked this feature in other wikis. -- SteveDavison <> This is intended. You ''shall'' create pages by putting a link to them on an already existing page. This creates a correctly interlinked page graph automatically. For the few other applications not doing it like this (like some main page auto-creating a list of subpages), there is the !NewPage macro. -- ThomasWaldmann <> In principle I do agree but there are some circumstances where I do miss this feature. Pages can be organized by categories too. So you have to create first the page and then you could add the category tag. Sometimes I do search for a page first and if it doesn't exist I like to create it in one step. -- ReimarBauer <> ## Tell your story here. ## What is the problem you are trying to solve? ## Is this features useful to most users or just to specific users? ---- CategoryFeatureRequest
